While tournament play is another issue, for casual Commander play, it is important to remember that Magic is a game and Magic cards are game pieces
I do wish it got counters on itself instead of putting them on the creature, because its going to be pretty brutal when they can remove the thing you worked so hard to grow, and this definitely takes some serious time to get going in too many situations Its a 7-mana 3/3 that makes three 1/1s
Up to this point, outside of Blasphemous Act - which, lets be fair, never costs 9 mana - your options for cheap wipes in Rakdos were quite limited
Stapling that to a modal card that is also just solid board wipe protection is a way to make that effect playable
If you read my The Brothers War Set Review, you may remember how highly I think of this card, as it is largely a better Outpost Siege: even if we whiff, we at least get a Powerstone, which can help pay for Sethrons activated ability, and it doubles the number of cards we see each of out turns
