There are plenty of powerful abilities to give to all of your creatures, and spreading +1/+1 counters is trivial to ensure they always have abilities to copy
To illustrate the difference, consider this Hardened Scales list: Creatures (18) Lands (20) Spells (22) 4 Welding Jar 4 Ancient Stirrings 4 Mox Opal 2 Throne of Geth 4 Hardened Scales 1 Evolutionary Leap 3 Animation Module Sideboard In this deck, you only want Throne of Geth after youve cast multiple creatures because putting a counter on a single creature is not worth sacrificing a resource
You can also use Aetherflux Reservoir to burn players out of the game by paying 50 life
I didnt think For ten mana, this card exiles half of an opponents library, gets at least three +1/+1 counters (going by average mana values), making it a 10/10 most of the time when it enters with a Ward - Annihilator 2 level of built-in protection, and, again, likely Annihilator 3 if you exile at least a permanent card with a mana value of three from half your opponents deck (again, this is being conservative)
Privileged Position is an enchantress mainstay, and one that is very popular with casual players
