Ripping into a pack by sliding your finger across its top edge is actually a pretty satisfying experience, accompanied by a soft rumble intended to replicate the feel of tearing into a packet of foil stuffed with shiny bits of cardboard
The 100-card base set has a new background design but features the same doubled up images of players that collectors have come to love, with a full-bodied color image overlapped by a black and white close-up image in the background
This white creature is amazingly annoying (and you know that's enough for some players!), and with any sort of blink this bird rogue becomes a serious control tool: Plotting a card from the stack can deal with uncounterable spells, and any counterspell you plot becomes effectively useless (since they don't work at sorcery speed!)
They have no additional abilities, just efficiency
A lot of the time, these effects can answer a problem for longer than if it simply went to the graveyard or in the case of a Commander, to the Command Zone
