Start either from a big idea (I want to cheat fatties from the graveyard) or from specific cards/commanders you love

Not all of them are relevant to every Cube with Armageddon being out of bounds for a lot of environments, but this card is also appreciably weaker than Gideon, Ally of Zendikar

Casting spells from the graveyard for two less is already strong, but granting Mayhem to every nonland card in your graveyard is absurd value
