mtg life gain cards Commander Staples for Lifegain Decks Rules Text: gain, life, draw,

A powerful card, but gated somewhat by needing quite a bit of setup

If youre able to open the door to Warped Space, you get an incredibly powerful effect, letting you pay zero mana for a single spell you cast from exile each turn

For example, a card that destroys all red creatures is normally of limited use because you dont know what colour(s) your opponent is playing beforehand and it is only valuable in a metagame where many players run red cards

In this deck, youd frequently hit a pocket of medium cards, maybe your Dragonlord Ojutai dies, and youd have to shift gears

Herald of Eternal Dawn can be a nice surprise threat, especially against red aggro and creature aggro in general, as these decks regularly lack the means to get rid of a 6/6
