You could chalk all this up to guy who has only seen The Boss Baby syndrome if it werent for Konamis own advertising for Phantom Nightmare wasnt full of references to destroying the cycle of life and death and souls burned to ash and forced to relive the conflict for so long that they have lost their original names and identities

Slice-of-life cards just make sense for Johto, and I hope well see more of them (especially rendered in brilliant full art variants) in future sets as well
