its the ability to fetch up any land at any time that makes this interesting

It does a vast amount of damage and leave behind an army of serious threats that will keep you alive and then finish the job of winning the next turn

I then built the deck in an 8 x 8 pattern with eight slots of eight cards each

Most situations would prefer an evoked Shriekmaw, but anything the elemental can't target is something you can hope to eliminate with a well-placed plague instead
