Inverter and U/W Control decks were already sort of in the market for cycling lands, and adding triomes can give the marginal upside of being able to Explosives for three, while also allowing those decks to up their land count to stick their otherwise inconsistent colors (something they cant do currently due to need for answer density) Thopter/Sword combo and Urza may not exist in Pioneer, which greatly suppresses the cards power, but it could help decks like Ensoul Artifact get back on stable footing
Spells and abilities that were targeting that permanent and Auras and Equipment that were attached to that permanent arent affected unless the new characteristics of the object change the legality of those targets or attachments
It's also strong in decks that want to have a few bodies on the battlefield but don't normally swing with them, like Hate Bears and Elfball where you have a bunch of Elves to tap for mana to fuel giant spells that win the game
Many deck lists including the winning deck lists used in the tournament are poorly built because of the lack of skill sets in the admittance process, with many players running incomplete evolution lines and excessive Trainer cards
