That being said, I think the reasons for a card being banned can be broken down into two main categories: A card is too powerful on its own and almost every deck has to have it to be good

Just like Lysandre's Trump Card

Before 1.55 and still true for encounter cards, you would recalculate if something else in the game would affect the total

However, even though it causes them to have all creature types and technically count as walls, creatures with the changeling ability and [c]Mistform Ultimus[/c] dont have defender
