matt strahm pokemon cards Thank you to The Wall Street Journal for highlighting my interview with in their latest piece on Pokémon card investing. Read here: https://www.wsj.com/finance/pokemon-cards-investment-0163e058?gaa_at=eafs&gaa_n What’s a better investment? Pokemon

Some of the things I wrote about are still applicable now, but some havent aged as well given the context of the format as it stands today

And for those newer to the game, Ill list the current card types here: Creature Land Battle Enchantment Kindred (this type used to be called tribal, but was recently changed by WOTC) Sorcery Instant Artifact Planeswalker Youll notice this list doesnt include legendary, as thats whats called a supertype

9 Eiscue V (055/192) Holiday Calendar Promo Originally From Sword & Shield: Rebel Clash While Eiscue somehow manages to be simultaneously creepy while also adorable, its ice and snow effect lends itself well to the seasonal feeling

When a Pokemon terastalls, a Tera Jewel (also called the crowns from this set on the cards) appears on its head

5 Karumonix, The Rat King Bring The Infestation One of the more interesting Commanders on this list, Karumonix, the Rat King is a pretty big divergence from other poison-based legendary creatures on this list, but that doesnt make him any less impressive
