For example, the siege subtype lets you basically assign it to an opponent to protect, then everyone else can attack it and it transforms into the backside when it's defeated
Karoo actually lets you produce more mana with the same number of lands by returning one of your Plains to your hand, and lands like Buried Ruin can help retrieve a mana rock or another key artifact lost early in the game
Given how hard it was to reach 70,000 points in 2005 (when this card was printed), this is just a super rare card
