In the long run, $30 is about right for the best mythic rare in a fairly weak winter or spring set
Pretty much any Garruk is good with beasts, I like the ones that are positive loyalty for the beast tokens like Garruk, Primal Hunter, and almost any Vivien helps your beasts too
Making a deck that is actually good is an entirely different story
