These Gates are all unremarkable but make up 15 out of the 23 Gates
Avatar of Fury, Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Bedlam Reveler, and Thought Monitor are just a few of the expensive at first glance creatures that Ive played over the years, and they dont even begin to scratch the surface of playable cards that offer steep discounts when casting them
A strong top-deck later in the game when you have fewer cards to discard, for sure, but when you transform it into Ifrit, Warden of Inferno, you get a 9/9 and a free fight effect
In terms of gameplay, Jaspera Sentinel and Magda, Brazen Outlaw aim to leapfrog you up the curve to start dropping bombs as soon as possible
That probably wasnt ideal, but in the games where I was able to get her out on turn seven, the card was an absolute bomb (in a good way) giving me card advantage and a body that was incredibly hard for my opponents to deal with
