There is one other card like these that I also have in my deck but it's slightly different to those listed above
Perhaps power creep has simply made this card obsolete, as a five-mana 3/3 Angel flyer with some upside is just not cutting it by todays standards
I might get out of mine in a year, though, before the next Commander decks come out, but then again, what are the odds they make another deck where lands matter so soon
Powerful counterspells like Mana Drain or Narsets Reversal, board clears like Perplexing Test or Evacuation, card filtering like Dig Through Time or Frantic Search, raw card draw through Blue Suns Zenith or Commanders Insight these only just scratch the surface of what a Merchants Scroll can do to reinforce your hand and available options
Sure, it's just one cheaper than Mind Rot, but two cards, at random, on turn two (or earlier) is just hard to stop, and hard to answer
