Erica versicolor Australian Often confused with Protea nerifoliaAn evergreen shrub growing to 1m height and spread. Fine needle like leaves cover the plant and flowers develop on the maturing stems. The tubular flowers are approx. 3 4cm long and are very striking with their two tone colouration. The red tubes with green lips are lovely and stand out against the dark green foliage. An acidic soil is required but can be container grown with the addition of an ericaceous compost. They grow best in a sunny location
