Old Japanese Chagama Kama and Furo for use in the Tea Ceremony antique southwest jewelry Seat Diameter: 15” x 15”The Furo and Chagama were both artisan crafted from cast iron whilst the lid with a chrysanthemum like flower was created from polished copper and is smooth from use and with a genuine patina. Kantsuki rings allowed the metal vessel to be handled and moved during preparation and for the ceremony itself. A little rust, traces of wear and a deep rich overall patina show this piece was actually used. approximately 12" high (not including the lid) 12"
