Tolerant of wind and rain and is very popular in Devon where it thrives

Needs to be pressed as soon as possible after harvest

Said to have originated in Glastonbury where it is still often found

Dunkerton's Late Year:1 YR Round fruit with a greenA late sweet cider apple. Also known as Dunkertons Sweet or Dunkertons Late Sweet. Large, round fruit. Green ripening to primrose yellow with orange flush. Flesh is sweet, chewy and firm. Makes a fruity, sweet and light cider. Raised by Mr Dunkerton of Boltonsborough, near Glastonbury in the 1940s. Quite vigorous and fairly disease resistant.
