A very fine museum worthy copperplate engraving with a superb image of a woman in superb 18th century costume. She is wearing a tricorn hat with a large rosette, a fitted bodice and stomacher. A shawl is wrapped around her shoulders and she has what looks like a fur muff on one arm. She is depicted in St Marks Square in Venice with the canal and gondalors in the background which makes me wonder if this was sold to someone on The Grand
