It has a wide distribution in the wild

Ive been growing this for several years and now i have bulked it up enough to offer some for sale

This is an interesting Bromeliad with stiff green leaves

This species add a wonderful contrast to other species because of its long thin leaves and upright habit

Aechmea recurvata Billbergia 'Lilac Time' Neoregelia 'Java Plum' x 'Babe'Here we have a very lovely Aechmea recurvata. This particular plant was collected or purchased by a friend in Madiera. The particular recurvata variety of this plant is unknown to me. But as you can see by the plant in my photo it is very beautiful and colors up bright red. Aechmea recuvata's are very easy to grow, it prefers bright light and a poor free draining soil. Pot, hanger and compost available separately.
