Rare Antique Block Printed Floral Chintz Cape : C18th France 1920s ladies coat This is incredibly skilled workItem details: A very rare, museum quality heirloom item of costume which has been carefully passed down through the generations. Dating from the 18th century it is made from a hand blocked polished Chintz from France, in a deep aubergine brown with coral and blue floral decorative elements. The cape is circular in shape (known as a compass cloak) and still has its original handloomed wool lining. It has a stand up collar and no fastenings.
