The Chuns Reef Surf Society consisted of a small group of local surfers including Jock Sutherland, Jeff Hakman, and a few of their North Shore neighbors. Best known as a reliable longboarding wave, Chuns Reef was named in the late 60s after John Chun who owned the house in front of the beach where the wave breaks. Chuns children
