2017 Red Rooster “Rare Bird Series” Reserve Malbec lamb sirloin This ready to dink wineA very well made medium body Malbec with 100% Naramata Bench Estate fruits. I detect some Argentinian style in this wine without being heavy and jammy, showcasing purity, terroir driven minerality and a great lengthy finish. The nose is filled with blackberry, cassis and violet. On the palate the first wave comes in with blueberry and dark cherry before turning to plum and black currants. Licorice, tobacco and smoke entertain most of the middle
