The cup is decorated in an overall chintz pattern featuring roses in tones of red, pink and yellow with green leaves. Colclough was founded in 1897, but operated as Colclough China only from 1937 until 1948. The mark used on the underside of each of the pieces of this set was used from 1939 until 1945, but my feeling is that this set dates to the early part of that range,
