Ekenas large signed vase by John Orwar Lake Nymolle With its intricately cast piercingsby: Ekenas, Sweden, 1970s designer: John Orwar Lake, signed material: blown glass size: 9" x 4" shipping weight: 3. 2 lb John Orwar Lake was a chief designer at Ekenas from 1953 1976, and was an influential designer and teacher (among his most notable students was Whitefriar's Geoffrey Baxter). This vase is from one of his last major series designed in 1972, and features internal bubbles throughout and a lovely blending of colours.
