Large bird’s nest ferns are highly prized

and they used to line the sides of the road to the fruit farm I stayed at this summer

I started it with a group of friends on the Big Island of Hawaii

though they took some convincing to believe they could wield the brush

This one wants to be peaceful

This piece is a Sharpie marker drawing I did while riding the bus. It's the view I saw every day of the area near Secret Beach. Depending on the water levels and how fast we were going, loads of birds could be seen on the mini islands. The squiggly water documents the flow and the bus motion.
