I thought long and hard about the layering of these and knew that you can get thicker mirror acrylic which was perfect for the layering of this piece to make them appear layered like real ladybirds with the order of the wings

This can be changed to acrylic if preferred

I felt the head section was too bulky at the same thickness (3 3mm layers) so I slimmed it down a little and managed to lose a layer at the back to make it less chunky

They are super light and easy to wear. Each earrings measures approximately h5cm x w2. 7cm and feature marble, marble pearl, frosted and mirror acrylic all assembled onto painted black and varnished 0. 8mm birch plywood bases.
