Antique Eskdale Bobbin Turned Rocking Chair Attributed Thomas Brocklebank This chair is in goodAntique 19th Century high back Eskdale rocking chair. A beautifully made, rare chair orginating from Crumbria. These sort after chairs dated from the mid 1800's and were made by local materials and labour. The distinctive rails dividing two rows of fine ball turned spindles link the chair to the maker Thomas Brocklebank who was working Eskdale Green by 1861. He was still recorded as working in partnership with his son William in 1883. Beutiful piece
