Description

静かな色彩を呈したクメール灰釉茶碗（15-16世紀、発掘手）です。

本作は、木の板を透かし彫りにして獅子と牡丹を表現した欄間です。獅子は荒彫りと細彫りを使い分けて毛並みを、牡丹は花弁の凹凸で立体感を出しています。

欄間として、上下の壁や鴨居（かもい）の間に据え付けられ、光や風を通しつつ空間を仕切る役割を果たしていました。小ぶりで品の良い作品です。

よく育った古い銅板で作った小さな掛花入です。中にプラスティックの容器を落としとしていれてあります。数年使用してありますが、水漏れはありません。
