The palate is a classic combination of subtle smoke and burnt leaves with rich honey

coconut husks and hessian but there were exotic things too – chocolate limes and honeydew melon

Now we tasted butterscotch

plus hints of roast duck and barbecued steaks

slightly resinous wood

Cask No. 9.250 21 – 25 years The palate is a classicSweet and fruity aromas suggested apple crumble with custard and strawberry sweets plus vanilla, tropical fruits, and ginger biscuits. Earthy notes then emerged of crunchy leaves and fresh peas with dry straw. Abundant sweetness of coconut, rich tea biscuits and fudge on the palate made way for peppery spices, cinnamon and ginger before apricots, peaches and bananas merged on the finish. Water enticed an oiliness from the spirit alongside banoffee
