Pig Aderyn Year:2 YR pale yellow/green with red flushA Welsh eating and cider apple. Large oblate fruit with yellow skin, bright red flush streaking most of the fruit. Some russet. Full blossom second week of May, drops in September. Translates as 'Bird's Beak' and found in St. Dogmaels, Pembs, believed to have been planted by the Tiron monks at the abbey for the purposes of cider making.
