It lets you use all your mana turn 2 if you have another 1-drop, it can attack for 2 damage on turn 2, and it gives you a mana sink to mitigate flood and just stress your opponents removal as a 1-drop that will win the game given enough time

I particularly like this in Rowan, Scion of War, as it rewards you in a big way for hurting yourself

The cards all look beautiful, with a special shout out to the SIRs and IRs of Phantasmal Flames, but collectors might get a bit frustratred with how many doubles and triples they end up pulling of lower end cards
