Lot 144 - Vintage Carved Wood Ashanti Akua'ba Fertility Figure with Disc-Shaped Head and Incised Geometric Designs, Ghana, 10" H 2503 This item is in greatVintage carved wood Ashanti akua'ba fertility figure from Ghana. The figure features the traditional disc shaped head with a carved face and incised linear and geometric patterns, a ringed neck, horizontally outstretched arms, and a cylindrical torso on a flared base. The wood is darkened with a black finish, and the incised designs reveal lighter wood beneath. The reverse of the disc head has incised geometric motifs along the upper edge. Surface
