Fresh quality mint examples with large part original gum. Total printing was only 6,000, with just 600 each of types 36, 37 and 39. A fine and very scarce set, seldom offered in this form. The Malaysian Straits Settlements first became a British crown colony in 1867. Stamps of the Straits Settlements were first overprinted for use in the Sultanate of Selangor in 1881.
