This horn is very shiny and limited to surface scratches, dings, dents, and other signs of character. There are a couple of small dings on the inside tubing, but nothing that affects the playability of the horn. The horn has good compression and plays very nicely. I did a valve compression reading on all the valves and all 3 valves had valve compression
