Shiftable characters provide you with a way to get stronger characters on the board for a cheaper cost while still having other low-cost characters in your deck that can pave the way for them
Removal is always useful, and though you give your opponent Ink, you can remove a character from play, and prevent it from going into the discard pile to potentially be brought back
