Pen Caled Year:2 YR tangy and crispA Welsh mid season cooking and cider apple. Round green fruit with a red flush and some russet and firm flesh. A good blender with no tannins. Starts to flower mid April and drops around October. Translates as 'hard head' possibly referring to the firmness of the fruit.
