Smith' verso, along with the words 'Self Portrait' to the top left verso. Oil on canvas. The work is extremely well executed with the sitter gazing out of the canvas as if looking at himself in a mirror. The artist has painted the work in such a way that the eyes of the portrait follow the viewer across a room. The face shows meticulous attention to detail
