For a while mainly around the 1920's they used a small round red coloured logo in their marketing and on their typewriters

This model is a number 1 and was made in 1939 and has a metal body in a wonderful shiny black enamel colour with round off white coloured keys with silver chrome surrounds

These plastic spools will work on any manual typewriter where you would use a Group 1, Group 4, Group 9 spool or a Remington ring and have a colour selector option on your typewriter. For older typewriters that have original metal spools or Smith Corona typewriters that have spools with a 4 cm diameter then you need to rewind the new ribbon onto your existing spools.
