Rivas: Ollas Painting Mata Ortiz Figurine a powerful circular macaw motif

a powerful circular macaw motif wraps around the pot

and the face is hard to look away from

the look of a vendor scanning the crowd for the next child tugging at a parent's sleeve

The crisp lines and negative space are handled with masterful precision

as if listening for something
