I ultimately chose to place this card one step higher because it feels safer in the long run

My list today does have a fair amount of mana acceleration on it, so again, its not a bad thing to include categorically

While many commanders on this list allow a player to accrue value by forcing players to discard, few are able to provide such a startling advantage by doing so as Tergrid.

Its great against Soul Sisters (since it shuts off all of the Soul Warden, which in turn shuts off Ajani Pridemate), and its good against the Mono-Green Devotion deck that popped up recently
