南北朝時代、北齊の白玉仏首です。柔和で柔らかな表情の菩薩が見事に彫られており、作者の祈りを感じます。

口のほつれや、釜傷、ニュウがありますが、総じて状態良く完器形で好ましい佇まいです。（木箱付）

本品は鉄釉が掛けられており、長頚に双耳がついた仏花瓶を目指して作られたものでしょう。
