This 19th century Bronze Sculpture is the work of Pierre Marius Montagne, the Roman God Mercury. Born in France (1828 1879), Pierre Marius Montagne was famous throughout his career, receiving impressive commissions. He trained under Francois Rudes Atelier. He was soon in charge of the architectural and sculptural decoration of the Grand Theatre in Toulon. Montagne won the
